The Rossi Atlantida stands out among the surrounding buildings due to its modern design, inspired by the architecture of Uruguayan seaside resorts. The clean lines and use of natural materials such as stone and wood for the facades give the condominium a unique and elegant appearance.
The condominium was designed with careful consideration of the programmatic requirements. The main activities of social interaction, such as party rooms and an indoor swimming pool, are housed in the large central island blocks. Smaller independent buildings attend to other strategic points of the layout. Ground floor units have private garden spaces facing the lake, while second-story units have access to the penthouse. A large lawn facing the lake separates the private areas.
The architectural environment of the Rossi Atlantida is characterized by clean traits and large glass panels, providing a sense of lightness and brightness. The use of wood in decks and walkways creates a seamless interface between the built areas and nature. Miracema stone is incorporated into the facades, establishing a harmonious connection between the natural surroundings and the construction.
The design of the Rossi Atlantida was not without its challenges. Local urban planning restrictions, such as a maximum height limitation of 7 meters, influenced the adoption of an essentially horizontal volume. To cater to a diverse audience, the project included four different architectonic typologies, accommodating single young adults or complete families.
The project started in 2010 and was completed in 2011 at Atlantida Beach, in the Xangrila Township of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The design was based on a preliminary study developed by the client, which guided the general implantation ordination. The inclusion of a peripheral circulation adjacent to the ground perimeter established the required connection between the axes, consolidating the outline road.
The Rossi Atlantida has received recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2018 in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category. This award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Rossi Atlantida is respected for integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to its residents and contributing to a better world.
